Security Vulnerability in Internet Explorer 6 January 21st, 2010

Last week a serious security flaw was unveiled in Internet Explorer 6. The vulnerabiltiy was exploited using a series of JavaScript snippets and may enable a hacker access to your local machine. The code has already been implemented into a few known hacking tools and released publicly online.

The Australian and German government released security warnings and recommend that users upgrade their browsers to IE 8 or use an alternative browser such as firefox.
